Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing OnPoint Connect. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices concerning the information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

OnPoint Connect is a privacy-first professional networking platform that provides digital business cards, event management with prize draws, contact management, company profiles, and QR/NFC-based networking capabilities.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address used for authentication and account identification.
  • Profile Information: Name, job title, company, phone number, email addresses, physical address, social media links, and profile photo — as provided by you when creating your digital business card.
  • Device Information: Hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and NFC capabilities.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including QR codes scanned, business cards shared, events attended, contacts saved, and introductions made.
  • Event Data: Event details you create or attend, registration information, prize draw entries, and survey responses (when applicable).
  • Company Data: Business profiles, team member associations, and company branding materials you provide.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the OnPoint Connect platform and its features.
  • Facilitate digital business card sharing via QR codes and NFC.
  • Enable event creation, registration, attendance tracking, and prize draw management.
  • Power contact management, including connection status tracking and duplicate prevention.
  • Support company profiles and team management features.
  • Enable professional introductions between your contacts.
  • Send secure one-time passwords (OTP) for authentication.
  • Respond to your requests, questions, or support inquiries.
  • Perform internal analytics and performance monitoring.

4. Your Privacy Controls

OnPoint Connect is built with privacy at its core. You have granular, field-level control over your personal information:

  • Field-Level Privacy: You can toggle visibility for individual fields on your business card — including email, phone number, address, alternate email, and social media links. Hidden fields are completely removed from shared views; they are never shown with a "Private" label.
  • Data Sharing: We will not sell, lease, or share your information with third parties except as described in this policy or with your explicit consent.
  • Data Retention: We store your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.
  • Access & Corrections: You can access and correct your personal information at any time through the app's settings.
  • Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

5. Connection & Contact Privacy

When you share your digital business card with another user, only the fields you have made visible will be shared. The recipient can see your connection status (Connected, Connect Back) but cannot access any fields you have chosen to hide. Duplicate contacts are automatically prevented when re-scanning the same QR code.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect and store. This includes secure OTP-based authentication (no passwords stored), encrypted data transmission, and access controls. While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The OnPoint Connect app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and on our website, and updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
